Tacoma (WA) February 17, 2006 – R.K. Getty Corp., owners of Centralia Outlets in Centralia, WA announced that Jody Miller Construction has been awarded the contract to renovate its’ 201,815 s.f. Center. The first phase of redevelopment will include converting an existing building, which has been enclosed, into 25,000 S.F. of new retail suites with exterior storefronts. Initial work will involve the partial demolition of the existing entrances to the mall and the creation of a walkway and exterior courtyard. Glass sections will replace parts of the existing roofline to cover the walkway. Zenczak & Partners, architects for the project, have designed a northwest look, which will incorporate stone columns, board-and-batt siding, and gable roofs. The center renovation will include upgraded restroom facilities, seating areas, lighting, directories and signage, widened sidewalks and additional landscaping. The goal is to give the center a new look and to enhance the shopping experience for its customers.

Renovation will begin immediately and the initial phase is scheduled for completion by June 1, 2006. The first tenant to open in the newly renovated building will be announced shortly and letters of intent from additional new tenants have been signed. The exterior renovation has prompted existing tenants to plan interior remodeling as well. Recently, brand named outlet stores Factory Brand Shoes, Easy Spirit, Claire’s and Big Dogs notified Centralia Outlet management that interior upgrades would coincide with the exterior renovation.

Centralia Outlets features brand name outlet stores including Levi’s Outlet, Quiksilver, Pfaltzgraff Outlet, Kitchen Collection, Farberware, Easy spirit, Dress Barn/Dress Barn Woman Outlet, L’eggs Hanes Bali Playtex, Van Heusen and G.H.
